The two highlights, however, have to be the appearance of a mysterious Sith towards the end of the trailer, bearing a new type of lightsaber with a crossguard. Stormtroopers and rebel fighters are also peppered throughout, though sadly Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher are all absent. Elsewhere in the trailer we get to see X-Wings skimming over a lake, along with a brief flash of TIE Fighters. As a whole, it's got quite a sinister tone, with a voice discussing the merits of the light and dark sides of the force. This is followed by a shot of a new droid rolling across Tattooine before newcomer Daisy Ridley appears, riding a speeder across the sands. The trailer opens with a shot of a desert – presumably Tattooine - before John Boyega pops into shot looking rather distressed and wearing a Stormtrooper's outfit.
